On FML conference Georgios Flengas (CERN) with Marius Köppel (ETH Zurich) gave a tutorial on HLS4ML use, the framework that is used also in Edge-SpAIce for AI deployment on FPGA fabric.

The EuroGEO Marine & Coastal Action Group workshop in Geneva on 6-7th of July 2026 was a great coming together of researchers and project managers for those working on marine and coast ecosystem protection.

The project’s consortium parter CERN presented HLS4ML use in Edge-SpAIce during the FPGA Developer Forum (FDF) on 29th May 2026 at CERN.

Aligning with the start of the new school year of 2025, CERN team took part in Fast Machine Learning for Science conference in Zürich with HLS4ML tutorial.

During the Living Planet Symposium 2025 organised by ESA in Vienna, Austria, on 22nd June the Edge-SpAIce consortium organised a thematic 2hr workshop for marine plastic detection, handling and tracking.

On 5th of June 2025 our consortium had mid-term review in Athenes at NTUA premisses, together with our project officer and independent experts.

European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) on 21st of February 2025 organized a workshop for all ongoing Horizon Europe projects addressing Earth Observation technologies.

On the 28th of November 2024 the Edge-SpAIce project organized the 2nd consortium gathering, this time in Geneva, Switzerland. Outside it was cold but in our heats we were full with deep sense of accomplishments.
