The EDGE SpAIce Team
Agenium Space
AGENIUM Space is a space startup in the heart of Europe’s space industry – Toulouse, France.
It was founded in 2018 by gathering satellite image processing and AI experts to develop edge-AI processing competency (AI processing on satellite).
Fast forward to 2024, AGENIUM Space has flown in space on 3 satellites, with the last one having a continuous service of cloud, and ship detection onboard.
Major added values from edge-AI onboard satellites are lower volume downloads and lower data latency.
E.g. no need to download cloudy parts of Earth images, and speedy targeted object reporting to ground like a surfaced submarine within seconds after image capture.
AGENIUM Space owns full end to end AI deployment capability, from training DNNs to optimising and deploying on satellites.
